Remember When a song by Alan
Jackson Remember when I was young and so were
you And time stood still and love was all we knew You were the first,
so was I We made love and then you cried
Remember
when
Remember when we vowed the vows and walked the walk Gave our
hearts, made the start, it was hard We lived and learned, life threw
curves There was joy and there was hurt
Remember when
Remember when old ones died and new were born And life was changed,
disassembled, rearranged We came together, fell apart And broke each
other's hearts
Remember when Remember when the sound of little
feet was the music We danced to week to week Brought back the love, we
found trust Vowed we'd never give it up
Remember when
Remember when thirty seemed so old Now lookin' back, it's just a
steppin' stone To where we are, where we've been Said we'd do it all
again
Remember when Remember when we said when we turned
gray When the children grow up and move away We won't be sad, we'll be
glad For all the life we've had And we'll remember when Remember
when Remember when

| David was born March 20, 1980. He's now a young man,
employed and a great source of pride to Connie and me. |
|
 |
| Laura Louise, Born November 29, 1968 - adopted at 18
months and brought gentleness to our home. |
 |
| Laura passed away in April of 1984. Sometimes
the sadness is hard to set asside. |

 |
| Will was born July 27, 1972. Will died in a
swimming pool accident at our Texas home in 1990. It's hard for a family
to survive these tragedies? |

 |
| The only picture I could find of the family together. We were
sure young then.... |

| Me and "Sweetie Face" (Connie) in
2002 |
I retired from GTE in November of 1995. I'd been
working on the "Process Re-engineering" team to redefine how GTE would do
business. Our efforts were so successful, we planned ourselves out of a
job. The team had the opportunity to find positions in "the new company"
but I had my points for retirement... so I decided it was time to leave
corporate life behind.
Connie retired from GTE in the summer of 1996
and we found our way back to Coeur d'Alene.
I started up a small
one-man business designing and supporting Internet sites. It's called
NetBest Internet Services and it's provided the resources to keep a boat in the
water on Lake Coeur d'Alene and has assured that I'm seldom
bored.

Booklet (still makes sense)
On the personal side... It
would be easy to become melancholy and focus on the sad times and the terrible
losses we've experienced.. but I wont. I would prefer to say that MOST of
my life (since MHS) has been as I'd have wanted it to be. I've experienced
great joy and adventure. I have many wonderful memories and, I hope, many
years left to remember them. Perhaps, without the great aches in life, it
would have been hard to be grateful for the glorious times I've had.
I
will keep my little company going as a diversion and spend my private time
looking for light fun, peace of mind and attempting to commit a few
"Random Acts of Kindness". |
