Janet Sue Price, 55, Rexburg

Janet Sue Parkinson Price, 55, of Rexburg, Idaho, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

She was born March 9, 1946, in Rigby, Idaho, to Seth Maughan and Lillian Isgreen Parkinson. She attended school in Moscow, graduating from high school in 1964.

Jan loved life and people. She was involved in many school activities including drama and drill team. She was an excellent student and was voted junior prom queen. She loved nature, being outdoors, exercising and playing golf with her dad. She attended Ricks College and was president of her sorority.

On Oct. 15, 1966, she married Robert Glen Price and they raised seven children. Jan loved being a mother and lived for her children.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings. Being recently divorced, she chose to attend Ricks College and was pursuing a career in nursing.

She was loved by all and we will miss her.

Survivors include her children, Lane Kenneth and Kris Price, Suzanne J. Averett, Scott Robert and Stephanie Price, Leah Jan and Lynn Rumsey, all of Rexburg, Joshua Seth and Michelle Price of Phoenix, Ariz., Tony Glen and Camie Price of Provo, Utah, and Ryan James Price of Rexburg; mother and stepfather, Lillian Parkinson Barackman and Al F. Barackman of Idaho Falls; two sisters, Karen Parkinson and Bill Brenn Early of Portland, Ore., and Mary Kim Parkinson and Kemp Bott of Logan, Utah; and 16 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Seth Maughan Parkinson.

The funeral was Monday, at the Salem LDS Church. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
