Larry GiesaGIESA, Larry Richard (Age 69) Larry went to Heaven on May 21, 2015, as a result of acute leukemia. He was born on October 17, 1945 in Moscow, Idaho to Richard and Jennie Giesa. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1964. He then left Colfax and attended Spokane Community College for one year. Larry then joined the Navy and was in the Damage Control Section on the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga where he participated in the Vietnam War along with a journey to North Korea. He then returned state side and on November 29, 1969 he married Cheryl Franke and finished his service in Long Beach and San Diego California. They returned to Spokane where Larry began his vocation as a plumber and after many years retired to enjoy his leisure time. For many years Larry enjoyed bowling with his buddies. He joined the Winter Knights and enjoyed snowmobiling and ATV riding. Larry also became a part of Spokane's search and rescue organization, which he enjoyed participating in. He is survived by his wife Cheryl and their two daughters Tari (Jerrold) Wheeler and their two children Caleb and Lauren and Shawna (Michael) Palmer and their children Cameron and Bryson. He also leaves behind his two sisters Marilyn (Rob) Jordan and Carolyn (Kirk) Hatcher and many nieces.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from noon to 5:00PM and Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 3:00PM with burial services to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry's name to Hospice of Spokane Hospice House North, 121 S. Arthur St., Spokane, WA 99202.

The family wishes to thank all of the employees of Hospice House North for their loving care.
