Jim and I spend 3 or 4 months in Arizona in the winter and this year spent 11 days in Hawaii. We have a motorhome and enjoy camping with our family and friends. Jim and I golf every chance we get and can't figure out why we aren't getting better. After two back surgeries I try to swim every morning and walk as much as possible. Not always easy, but I refuse to quit. The last two years I have taken a retreat with four other MHS grads. How fun to spend a week with Bonnie Nelson, Mary Cossart, Pat Gayman, and Marilyn Haley. We have so much fun letting our hair down and celebrating life. My life is filled with many friends and blessings and I look forward to reuniting with each of you. Love and Hugs, Linda Dailey Mix |

Hi to all who went to MHS and graduated in "64". It seems like only yesterday we were roaming those high school hallways, yet many years have passed, leaving us with many wonderful memories, a few extra pounds and wrinkles and family and friends to cherish forever. After graduating from the U of I, Jim Mix and I were married and moved to Reedsport, Oregon, where we still reside. Jim has taught and coached,(12 yrs.), was part-owner of an insurance office,(20 yrs.), and now has a financial planning business in our home. I taught primary school for 29 yrs. and substituted for 7 years. I retired a year ago. Now we love to
travel, play golf, camp, ride 4-wheelers on the beautiful Oregon dunes,
snowmobile in the mountains and visit our family. We are very proud of our
three children and their families.
Being a grandparent has been one of the highlights of our lives. We are unable to be at the class reunion due to a family reunion which is taking place at the same time. I was heart-broken when I found out the dates conflicted. I hope this little summary finds all of you healthy and happy. I truly hope to see all of you again at the next reunion. |
